After 25 years in Tripura, the BJP has secured power for the first time in the Left’s demise. In the multiplicity of Bengali people, this state had the power of CPM since 1993, but now after West Bengal, it is a matter of concern for the Left to leave the fort. BJP, which is the only party of the north and west India, has achieved such a significant boost in the northeastern states.
Three years ago, about the BJP which created its first government in the Northeast in Assam, no one could say that it will wiggle in Tripura too. In Tripura in 2013, there are many reasons for the BJP getting 1.5 percent of the votes and not getting its account even though it is surprisingly successful.
1- For the past 25 years, there has been a CPM government. Manik Sarkar has considered the CM of a better image, but he also failed to prevent corruption at the lower level.
2- BJP has given full force to strengthen its organization in Tripura. Sunil Deodhar, who was the head of BJP’s North-East India cell, has worked to enhance the party here in the last two to three years.
3- Yogi factor is also essential for BJP along with this. In Tripura, CM Yogi Adityanath addressed the meetings in 7 places, winning five seats. The primary reason for this is the large population of the Nath sect in Tripura.
4- BJP has worked tirelessly on the strategy of the Panna chief by tightening the party before the election. The succeeded in encouraging the cadre and strengthened his contact to the alley, which turned into a vote.
5- Congress has become increasingly weak in this state; it has succeeded in bringing BJP’s many senior leaders into its fold. This is also a significant reason behind the considerable success of the saffron party.
